Valley Railroad, also known as the Essex Steam Train, operates steam powered excursions out of their depot located in Essex, Connecticut. The regularly scheduled excursions operate over former New Haven Railroad trackage, and are generally powered by one of the railroads two Mikado type steam locomotives; 40, and 3025. In this video we see both the 40 and the 3025 hauling passengers over the beautiful Valley Railroad's route, which parallels the Connecticut River.
